The weather here has been unseasonably cold the last few days, which puts me in the mood for all things autumn (like carving pumpkins, reading spooky stories and knitting). It’s a bit too early for pumpkins, but that doesn’t mean I can’t start knitting again. I’ve hardly touched a pair of knitting needles in a couple of months, so was excited when I took a peek at this simple pattern.

I picked up three skeins of the Lion Brand Cotton Ease yarn in a pretty berry color. This little V-neck sweater will be for my oldest daughter, Leah. I figured I owed her one since I made a sweater for her little sister a while back.
Are you guys contemplating any autumn knitting or crafting projects?

Mmmm, perhaps the sweater you’re making for Leah in blue for Buttons? Once I get the yarn, I’m going to make stockings for Hubby and I. Plus finishing the zillions of UFO’s I have.
That’s a really cute sweater.
i am crocheting away on my granny squares and then i plan on knitting knee socks for myself. love the color you picked for Leah’s sweater!
Not long ago, I made the cutest little cabled had for Zoe. It even had ear flaps! All it needs is the pompom and chin ties. First off, we need to trade talent with each other – you teach me how to knit, and I’ll teach you how to crochet!
Funny that you mentioned about it being unseasonably cold around these parts, making you think of autumn – I have been thinking the EXACT same thing, and even bought some yarn on Saturday (even though I have enough yarn to start my own store practically… not kidding).
And speaking of yarn, the one you posted here is one of my new fav’s! I LOVE the way it feels!
What a cute pattern! Both your sweet girls will be wrapped in such snuggly knittiness this fall – enjoy it all!
How come I didn’t know you were a knitter? I love your site! I’m not crafty *at all* but I can crochet, and now knit just a little bit. I’m hooked on it though for sure! Can I add this blog to my links on my knitting blog?
[...] OK, there is hardly anything crafty going on in my house lately. The sweater for Leah is only partially knitted (back complete, now starting the front) and I have been way busy [...]
